Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)The author, Stephen Beale, of this 1912 biography depends on flowery flattery and mostly copying the journals of those who crossed the uncharted continent with the historical Beale. The book is devoid of facts or points of interest. It has no meat, or enlightenment. Written at a time when Edward Beale's son was a most prominent friend to Teddy Roosevelt it certainly is an up the General's image/p.r. thing. It isn't worth a 1/3 of the cost!
