Brown-Avery is a dynamic writer and illustrator. My 3 year-old daughter loves Annie the Mule. If you haven't read Annie the Mule stories, you're missing out on all the fun of as fast Mule named Annie. Annie the Mule is always in hot pursuit of Denise (Brown-Avery). In each book, Denise and her family attempt to either take a family vacation or attend the NC State Fair. Annie the Mule seems to find a way to break out of her stable and the chase is on. From Raleigh, North Carolina, to London, England,and Venice Italy, Annie the Mule brings it with her famous PF Flyer sneakers and designer sunshades. All of Brown-Avery's collection are great. One of the hilarious books is Annie the Mule goes to Washington DC. Annie, again on the chase of Brown-Avery goes to Washington DC and disrupts the White House Easter Egg Hunt. Annie ends up chasing the US Navy Seals and SWAT around the White House lawn when guess who steps in to save the day. Our President of the USA wearing a cowboy hat with lasso in hand. The President lasso's Annie the Mule and saves the day. Check out all of these great adventures and Annie the Mule will capture your hearts as she has mines.
