When I received the book it seemed overwhelming but once I read through the introductions and table of contents it was not daunting at all. Worth every penny!
Edit: I did make my trip to Death Valley and this book is incredible. We used it the whole time. If we came across something we needed more information about it was at our fingers within a moment. Great book for anyone planning to go to DV!

(More customer reviews)I recently bought this guide along with two other guides for my trip to the Grand Canyon. This one was so good that I literally threw out my other two guides three days into my trip. (Actually I gave them away to other vacationers to reuse and recycle but terminology aside, I still ended up getting rid of them to lessen the load in my backpack because they were nowhere near as thorough as The Complete Guide). Other books can't compare to the glossy color photographs, maps, trail recommendations, park background, flora and fauna highlights to look for and most importantly the insider's tips provided in this guide. It actually felt like the other two guides that I bought for my trip (and to be nice I won't name names but they were from big travel book publishers) were written by people sitting behind a computer in an office who hadn't been to the Grand Canyon in years, while this guide reads like the author is sitting on a rock perched over the Colorado River sharing his insight to friends. I loved this guide and can't recommend it enough. Besides a good backpack, hiking shoes and some food, it's all that you need for a great trip to the Grand Canyon. Buy this one book, skip everything else that's out there, and you'll be all set.

Fable: The Lost Chapters (Prima Official Game Guide) Review

(More customer reviews)Fable can easily be played without a guide but this book will help you flesh out the story and find all the bits and pieces much more easily. The ability to see all of the available hair styles, tattos, weapons, armor etc is very nice.
I especially liked the weapon section so I could figure out exactly which of the uber weapons to look for. Not to mention finding all of the keys I had missed for all of those yummy treasure chests scattered around the world.
Since the guide covers both the PC and console game, there were a couple of spots that evidently were not PC related and it was just a tad confusing a time or two. Like, huh?
Play it through once without the guide if you don't want to spoil the surprises and use the guide after that. But what the heck.
Walkthroughs were complete but it is not necessary to do everything in the exact order given. Do what you are in the mood to do and use the guide to check if you missed something fun.
Well written and very informative. Buy it if you can.
