Basically, I enjoyed the book. I very quickly began to care about following the plot and ongoing events once I got into the story. I especially began to identify with, and care about, Glyndr as she awakens to and follows her destiny. I am already hoping to learn of her future exploits in the new world, adventures that I am guessing will probably be on the America continent. One criticism I would make is that it seemed to me she too rapidly made the transition from beginner to accepted "expert" in the art and skills of a Rune Master. This made it slightly difficult for me to get into the story at the very beginning. Also, maybe because I am an older adult and am unfamiliar with the genre, a brief introduction to terms such as Runes and Jarls, etc would have been useful. I assume that the younger age group for whom the book seems primarily directed might be more familiar with this language. A map of the territories that are described would have helped me to orient better as the plot progressed. Aside from these minor points it provided enough ongoing adventure to keep my interest. It was a Good Read,
