For a kid caught in a net he sure went a long way. He was the hero of his small village, saving it twice from disaster then going on the road to be a trader for thousands of years. I would have liked to hear more about his many wives. The part about the Camels was interesting but when the one old female adopted his young bride Mora and he took her home to his castle and the whole staff fell in love with her then they found the ship and she got all interested in exploring it then they took the trip to other worlds. Poor Mora passed away from the plague then he married the Princess of England and years later tried to tell them about the wars that were coming but they wouldn't listen then after World war one he Married the American in spite of her antics but she turned out to be okay. She was feisty and insisted on being a pilot in spite of everything he did to keep her home but she got to test the planes he was building and after the war. OOps don't want to give away the whole plot someone else may enjoy it as much as I did.
Oh I looked up the sales on CS and the thing has sold a bunch sure glad I bought mine from CS.
Clair Johnson. (Went to school with Melvin he was a quiet guy who would have guessed he would turn out to be such a good writer).

Caught in a fisherman's net in about 5,000 BC, he was about five summers and did not know who he was or where he came from. He grows up with the fisherman's family, saves the village from bandits, saves the people from a tidal wave, becomes a trader and lives many centuries trading on the silk road to China.
