(More customer reviews)Buddy Korda, an introverted man, is called by God to prophesyto the world about an impending financial collapse in the magnitude ofthe Great Depression. The market is in the best shape that it has ever been, but his visions of the impending disasters are nightmares. "Why would God coose me?", he wonders. (That sounds familiar). He very reluctantly heeds the call and the journey begins. It is a journey that is very compelling from a fictional story standpoint, but even greater is the journey of intense spiritual growth that both he and his wife experience as a result. The book illustrates well the combination of the inner peace that comes through obedience and the exhausting responsibilities that come with this great step of faith. The book is very encouraging by showing how God never abandons His kingdom and how He richly blesses them when they are faithful. It made me examine my own relationship with Christ, which, in my opinion, is what Christian fiction ought to do. I enjoyed it thoroughly. The financial jargon went over my head at times, but otherwise it's a great read.
