This book is very well done. Though it is fiction it keeps me reminded of the extreme hardships faced by the people, due to the lawlessness of the era. One wrong move, make someone angry or in this case be in the wrong place at the most inopportune time could cost you your life. I fell in love with the feisty Molly Klover who is so determined and willing to go to surprising, to say the least, extremes to make things work out for her family. Molly made new friends, from unusual situations who put their lives on the line to try and save hers. This book made me laugh and feel good inside at times by the innocent and goodwill attitude of Molly trying to always do the right thing and other times saddened and angered by the sheer greed of powerful men who will do anything for money and power. I will recommend this book to anyone who loves a good heartwarming story.

This is the story of a young girl and her family in the southern area of the Arizona Territory in the late 1850's. They are there in hopes that the arid climate would aid and comfort their daughter suffering from consumption. Uneducated and living a simple unrewarding life of labor of multiple tasks, the struggle to send their daughter to proper care becomes tragically self imposed. The good hearted, spirit free, beautiful wife and loving mother is chased and shot at and prolonged in her quest to send Melissa to the sanitarium of that period. Seen only as a head chopping lunatic and murdering desperado, fit only to be hung by the neck, for what she did. This is the tale of why they wanted to hang Molly Klover, and the Story of when they did, or not. Wes Wright lives in Arlington, Texas, currently writing more fiction, and little else.
