The muslims have been about eight centuries in Iberia . Some roots in the south remain .Of course they have lived with people of other religions , but it was not a paradise . They were more developed than the local people , in the agriculture , in the sciences , and architecture . By these reasons , they had relationship with the east , mainly Egipt , north Africa and some christian Countries . This helped , but it was not enough . This book is a very good help to understand some reasons of its so long presence .
