This is a great novel in three acts from an unknown author. It's well written; poetically eloquent at times and dark and violent in others. It's obvious the author is well read and understands his Classics, and the work is better for it. I recommend this to anyone for only $3.99. I can't wait to see where the author goes from here.

The End is here. The world is left in ruins, shrouded by unbreakable clouds of darkness. Fear is the new government as the throes of anarchy spread. But in this world of eternal shadow, there is a Light, a warrior, a Guardian. Thrust into madness when her lover is murdered, a young woman swears an oath to her vengeance. No longer will she stand idly by as the agents of villainy decimate the last hope for the future. She is the Maiden of Shadows, the New Achilles, and Artemis reborn. She is the Soul Trader. And she will trade for nothing more than a bullet.Soul Trader is inspired by a number of Classical works, including Homer''s Iliad. It combines a modern setting with the themes of ancient literature. Comprised of three individual stories, Soul Trader follows the deeds of Alicia, a young woman who grew up on her own after the Apocalypse. Her methods are merciless, but she cannot escape the demons clouding her frail judgment. Yet when her quest for revenge is satisfied, her motivation shifts from personal retribution to pragmatic justice. Her methods remain vicious, but the cause has given her a new perspective on what really matters. Blending sorrow and redemption, Soul Trader reveals the true nature of humanity. Those who believe in the good will seek it, while those who do not will hinder its course. And in the middle stands Alicia, the Knight of the Nocturne, the Soul Trader.
