I know Whilhelm (actually I always called him Willi) we met 1955.
Surprisingly to me he used mine and my brother,s names in the book.
Which we did not mind at all.
I really enjoyed reading his book. It was an easy readible novel once
I got over the first few pages. All his life Willi strived for the best and
worked hard for it. Willi Congratulation on your book. I know you will not
sell as many book copies as that George Bush, but i rather read yours any day.

Identifying Horse-Drawn Farm Implements Review

Identifying Horse-Drawn Farm Implements
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Short book, well written with generally excellent pictures. The book would be better if the author had visited additional states and included more horse-drawn equipment as most of the examples are from the Texas, Arkansas area so equipment from New England, Upper Mid-west, Great Plains, Central Basin, California and Pacific Northwest is not identified.

This guide to the identification of old farm equipment has been assembled to help those who have grown up since the horse-to-tractor farming conversion identify the myriad of horse-powered farm implements still to be found. The identification process is simple and quick, and is based on the presence or absence of such readily recognizable features as wheels and teeth. Photographs and identifying features of essentially all of the types of equipment used in the United States during the early part of the twentieth century are included.

I like to carve and when I saw this book with it's exquisite photos and color, I picked it up. Although I never found time to use it, you won't be disappointed with it. Contains pattern , techniques, and painting instructions as well. I certainly wish I could carve like Todd Swaim!

Delta Blues Guitar (Oak Anthology of Blues Guitar) Review

Delta Blues Guitar (Oak Anthology of Blues Guitar)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This book contains, in tablature and standard notation, songs by a number of great Delta bluesmen -- Charley Patton, Son House, Robert Johnson, Willie Brown, Skip James and others. Grossman does not in every case write out the notation for the entire song; a song might be represented by its intro, first verse and closing guitar lick, or maybe just by an extended break. In each case, Grossman gives you enough information that you can sit down with the recording and learn to play these classic songs.
Interview snippets, history and photographs add great color and texture to an extremely useful work.
